Welcome - I am Uxshely, a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and registered nutritionist. WEEK 1: Why Do You Feel So Bad About Your Body?
In the first week of the programme you will learn what may be driving you to feel so bad about your body. We will examine beauty standards through the times and look at some unhelpful thoughts that you may be holding on to about your body.
WEEK 2: Body Dysmorphia and How to Overcome It
As you begin to think more helpful thoughts about your body, we will look at what body dysmorphia is and some steps that you can take to overcome it.
WEEK 3: Rebuilding Your Connection With Your Body
The third week of the programme will help you connect back in to your body. Very often we lose touch with our body's natural signals and cues and can end up feeling as though we are in a constant battle with our bodies. Here you will learn to tune back into your body.
WEEK 4: Boosting Your Confidence & Self-Esteem
In week four we explore what drives low confidence levels and equip you with some tools to build up your confidence and self-esteem.
WEEK 5: What is Your Identity & Self-Perception?
Week 5 helps you to explore how you view and think of yourself. A lot of how we feel about ourselves derives from our self-perception. Often the choices we make for ourselves and our lives are shaped by our identity. By gently shifting your identity and self-perception, you can start to make some more helpful choices in your life.
WEEK 6: Managing Your Thoughts
In week 6 we look at some tools from cognitive behavioural therapy that you can use to manage and challenge unhelpful thoughts that you are having about your body.
WEEK 7: Managing Unhelpful Perfectionism
In week 7 we will be helping you to manage unhelpful perfectionism. Unhelpful perfectionism can often drive low confidence but also anxiety and stress too. By helping you to manage unhelpful perfectionism, you can start to feel better about your body but also better about your life more generally too.
WEEK 8: Working With Your Body for an Exciting Future
As we come to the end of this programme, you will be feeling better about your body and more confident and you will have so much more time and mental energy to focus on other things in your life. This final week is an opportunity for you to think about your goals for the future and to put a plan in place to manage anything that may trigger you to have unhelpful thoughts about your body.
