Let's book in a chat to talk through what you would like to achieve
Welcome! My name is Uxshely Carcamo and I am a registered nutritionist, psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and lawyer. I founded The Food Therapy Clinic and would love to have a chat with you about your relationship with food and what you would like to work on.
I understand how challenging it can be to face issues around food and know that it will be important for you to find the right treatment for you. This is why I think that it is important that you are given the opportunity to speak to me before committing to any therapy packages or products. I offer a 20 minute free phone consultation to anyone that is thinking about booking in a session or signing up for an online programme.

BINGE EATING CASE STUDY

Susie reached out as she had been struggling with binge eating for many years. She found herself worrying a lot about her weight and trying lots of different diets but finding that nothing would stick. She would keep going with the diet for a few days/weeks but then any slight emotional trigger would drive her to decide that "she would start a new diet tomorrow" and then to binge. Every time she felt bad about herself and her body she would also think "there is no point in even trying with this diet" - and then binge. Through exploring the underlying drivers of her eating habits, helping her to shift how she felt about herself and her body and looking at her relationship with food throughout her life, we were able to use a combination of techniques to help her to stop bingeing for good. Whilst we didn't focus on weight loss, her weight actually stabilised to a healthy point just from her normalising her eating behaviours.
